Concept and project outline – work, innovation and skills competition base learning system

This document presents the Concept and Project Plan outline for a regulatory initiative to enable the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) and TEVET service providers respond to environmental opportunities and threats. The initiative is focused on re-engineering the system for delivering or providing Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) services so that learning takes place mainly through a combination of Work, Innovation, and Skills Competitions.

WorldSkills Zambia’s report on WorldSkills São Paulo 2015

This Report has been prepared to capture and share some important information and experiences pertaining to Zambia’s participation in WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 which was held in São Paulo, Brazil, from 11th to 16th August, 2015. The event involved 1,189 Competitors and covered 50 skills.

World Youth Skills Day 2016 report by WorldSkills International

The report captures the highlights of activities and events by WorldSkills Members and partners who celebrated the second annual World Youth Skills Day (WYSD). The WorldSkills Campaign #SkillsRuleTheWorld was used in a photo campaign and various WorldSkills activities as well as used by other organizations, including UNESCO to promote the day.

Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) policy

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Vocational Training has the political mandate to oversee technical education and vocational training in Zambia. In exercising this mandate the Ministry has formulated a new technical education and vocational training policy so as to make it more responsive to the current training demands in the economy. The new policy known as the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) policy provides the general direction that the government initiatives in technical education and vocational training will take.

Zambia Vision 2030

The National Long Term Vision 2030 (Vision 2030) is Zambia’s first ever written long-term plan, expressing Zambians’ aspirations by the year 2030. It articulates possible long-term alternative development policy scenarios at different points which would contribute to the attainment of the desirable social economic indicators by the year 2030.
